I was curious why Giannino Trattoria closed as well. La Tavernetta did so well there because they offered a discount for take out & early bird, had a decent number of options on their menu & the food was very good. Giannino offered no discounts & prices seemed a little high and menu options appeared to be limited ( For example,no sandwiches.) We never got around to trying Giannino's, so I have no idea how the food was. It's a pity that they couldn't get it to work, because we could really use a place like the old Tavernetta in that location. (Tavernetta on Metro has apparently been sold to new owners & the food is no longer the same.)
