ISO: Haggis

So, as Robbie Burns day fast approaches, does anyone have a tip for where to get good haggis downtown? I don't think I've ever seen it for sale.

They have haggis in a can at the Sun Valley meat counter. No, I haven't tasted it - I'm more of a kishka guy.

Mrs Bishops Bakery in Eglinton Square has two sizes of haggis.

Don't know any downtown places, but if you can catch a ride, try But 'n Ben's in Scarborough at Ellesmere/McCowan, which is great. I've also heard great things about Allen’s Butcher on Weston, north of Lawrence West. I have found Haggis at Meat on the Beach on Queen East, which is pretty accessible by streetcar from downtown, but I'd call first. The Scottish Company on Leslie just south of the 401 also stocks a few in their freezer, but again, you'd need a ride.

I have seen it for sale at the healthy butcher within the past 3months, never bought it, I am also certain I have seen it at other butchers/stores maybe the summerhill market?

Lots of threads about haggis at this time of year. Steve Allen on Weston Road makes my fave. Slainthe.
