99Ranch for Live crab

typically i purchase live crab from pillar point, this time i cant make it to HMB, hows 99ranch for live crab? where else is recommended in SF or Daly City? will i notice a difference in freshness? also thinking about having them cook/clean them for me, is it worth it? saves me the mess from home, then i can butter em up,

thanks

The 99Ranch in Foster City would steam it for you.

I've asked them to clean and crack when the line has been 20 deep and they obliged me with a smile. Nice guys at the Richmond Ranch 99 and amazingly fast.

You mean they clean and crack a live crab?? Then you take it home and cook it??

I've never had a problem with 99 ranch for live crab - I've always been able to get feisty crabs that with sweet meat. However, I've never had a crab from Pillar Point. But anyway, they won't cook it for you. Not sure about cleaning.
