Sunday Lunch or Brunch in Portland ME
Did you see this thread I started last week about Sunday lunch in Portland? We ended up at Caiola's, which was great (as usual). We had homemade tater tots to start, and we both had the eggs tostada (fried corn tortillas topped with mildly spicy black beans, 2 eggs your style, fresh salsa, and rice (?? I can't remember). My friend also had a single pancake that looked thick and smelled delicious. Stoli Bloody Marys are only $5. Make a rez; they're packed every Sunday.
We also thought Farmer's Table (on Commercial Street in the Old Port) looked good, as well as Local 188. Walter's (one block up the hill from the Portland Harbor Hotel (new location) is supposed to have started brunch, but I cannot confirm that. We walked by the restaurant several times over the weekend, and they were doing a great business. I have always loved the food there.
