LA area raw unprocessed honey?

I'm looking for local suppliers for raw unheated honey in bulk. There's Honey Pacifica in Long Beach but they heat the honey and filter it. I'm looking for a local equivalent of Really Raw Honey.

Thanks

  1. Farmer's markets. I think Hollywood and South Pasadena have a honey man. I bought some from these people 2 Christmases ago. http://bennetthoney.com/default.aspx

This. Most farmers' markets have local honey—and local in the true sense (the honey I buy comes from Garden Grove, less than 3 miles from me).

http://backyardbees.net/ Nice ladies who do bee 'rescue' - met them when they removed a swarm from a tree in my yard here in Orange

Ah, I don't have bees in Anaheim, just wasps. And they build nests incessantly, and I end up having to get rid of them. Great idea though.

Actually they were written up in the OC Weekly, link:

Boy, wouldn't you think I'd have known that?? (sheepish grin)

              Thanks for the link.

I would suggest Bill's Bees. I get his stuff at the Santa Monica farmers market. He's usually got some of the big gallon (bigger?) containers of the honey with him or he could bring them for you. He's at multiple markets, but I know him from the Wednesday SM market.

Count me among the fans of Bill's Bees. I, too, get his honey at the SM Farmer's Market. He's also there on Saturdays.

We like Bill's Bees. Good stuff and a nice man.

Plus, he almost got wiped out last year because of the frosts. Support him.

        3. Honey Pacifica sells both raw and filtered.
