Monday night long dinner

MarlaPR Jan 20, 2010 09:37 AM

My daughter is taking a sewing class at the sewing center on Monday nights for the next 4 weeks. I am driving her in and my husband and I are doing "Date night" while she is taking her class. We need a place to dine for 2 1/2 hours. Where would you go???

Oh, she is almost 16 and driving home, so I can have a glass of wine! :}

    A bit more on the location of the "sewing center" would probably be helpful in coming up with recommendations.

      You are absolutely right! It is on Pico in Santa Monica but can drive to another city . Want great food and someplace where we aren't rushed. Not crazy expensive. Ideas??

        Without knowing what "crazy expensive" means I will mention that Monday night is corkage free at Josie's on Pico at 25th.

        2424 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica, CA 90405

          Servorg great call!! Charming, delicious fresh food, great wait staff and no corkage! Heaven!! And LA/Dine on top of it all! Thanks!

          Any other recommendations for the 3 Mondays we have ahead of us?? Anyone? We certainly could drive somewhere since we have 2 1/2 hours to kill. YUM

      JiRaffe on 5th St. has a special Monday Night Bistro menu. Less than $40pp. ou might also want to look at the DineLA site to see which restos around that area are participating in Restaurant Week(part 2) which will cover you on Feb.1...

        I thought the Dine LA menu for FIG looked great and it's not far.

        What about eating at the bar at Valentino while you're right there?

          If they have 2.5 hours to burn, they might as well opt for the restaurant proper.
