The few times I've driven by this week it's look closed up but that is the extent of my knowledge on Dizzy...

That's really too bad about Dizzy AND that it's gonna be another burger place!! There's already Bamburger down the street, which is not doing well, and South St. just up the street. We like to go up to Cam's Place for burgers...I like the veggie burger there (comes with mushroom, zucchini and brie), and the beef burger is supposedly great too.

From what I have been told, the last day for business will be on the 28th or 29th. The chef's girlfriend just had a baby and he decided to pursue a more family-friendly career option and has sold the business.
There's an Irish style wake scheduled to occur there on Saturday evening.
It's a shame, really. I really like going there to hang out, watch the game and of course, eat their awesome food. The area is devoid of unique pubs that aren't faux-English and I will miss the Dizzy a lot.

The place is (was??) owned by a friend of a guy I play hockey with. He's been telling me for a while how good the food is. So last Tuesday we stopped in for dinner before heading down to the Leafs game.
"Sorry guys, the kitchen won't be open until 6." At 5:30 we weren't about to wait.My buddy hasn't been at hockey since before Christmas and doubt he'll be there tonight either. If he is, I'll ask.

...that location seems to have a dark cloud hanging over it, nothing survives there. Other than the bartender staring out the window...Dizzy was empty any time I passed by. It might have had something to do with the fact that the place holds about 12 people and they were going for the upscale sports bar thing.
