Steakhouse in/around Cincinnati

Moved to Cincy area (West Chester) over the summer.....looking for a great steakhouse. Could be anywhere in the surrounding area or downtown. Tired of taking company to (gag) Montgomery Inn (dh's fav place).

Oh, yeah, been there....when we closed on the house. Great food. I guess I consider Jag's more of a 'special occasion' type place.

    2. Jeff Ruby's The Precinct Restaurant will fit the bill, but it isn't cheap.

Any of Ruby's restaurants are great. I much prefer them to Morton's which is overpriced for the product. I've heard good things about Broi Na Braza Brazilian Steakhouse downtown, but I haven't been there. Yet.

Thanks for the recs. I guess I was thinking of a more family oriented place instead of the really high end, special occasion type places.

You might want to check out Maury's Tiny Cove in Western Hills. Although it's been awhile since I was last there the food was always good. It's more of a 'vintage' steak place.

I like Maury's as well, but haven't been there since they changed ownership. Good honest drinks. Embers in Montgomery is pretty good. I've had really good steaks at the Precinct, but the restaurant has ticked me off a few times and I'm never sure which experience I'm going to get when I go there.

I like the steaks at El Coyote in Anderson Twp. It's more of a Tex-Mex restaurant, but they also have steaks and fish on the menu. I think their ribeye is $24, and they're one of the few places in town that will cook steaks Pittsburgh. Kids will like the mashed potatoes and mac-and-cheese.
