Coconut Oil

Simple question....

I wanted to try this recipe that calls for coconut oil, so I bought some coconut oil for the first time. When I got it home and opened the jar it wasn't oil at all, but was more like a hardened, white paste. Is that ordinarily the way coconut oil looks when you open the jar?

I scooped some out with a spoon and put it in a pan where it quickly melted and looked like oil.

The brand is Swad; no expiration date anywhere on the jar.

yep, that's normal. coconut oil is solid at room temperature.
