Lamb shoulder in San Diego?

Does anybody know where to get lamb shoulder in San Diego? I live in the North Park area. Iowa Meat farms doesn't have it, nor does Whole foods - of course its not at Ralphs or Vons. Everybody has leg, and it just isn't as good for soups.

  1. North Park Produce may have it as they carry a wide selection of alternative cuts.

    1. Whole Halal lambs (and parts thereof), fresh and frozen at Vine Ripe in La Mesa (Fletcher Parkway at Jackson).

      1. I feel like I may have gotten it at Costco once

        1. If you want to get a lamb shoulder roast I normally get them at Balboa International Market. For the lamb shoulder chops I normally get them at Tip Top Meats.

Thanks guys. I forgot how much lamb they eat in the Middle East. ;) I'll be going to Balboa Market in a couple days, and I'll confirm the shoulder.

I've completely stopped buying any meat from North Park Produce, as its never high quality, and is usually a day away from spoiling. I'll still get veggies and fruit though.

          2. Did you ask Iowa if they could order it for you? You might also want to try a slaughter house.
