One Dinner + Pralines in Nola

RRobertaR Jan 15, 2010 03:46 PM

I have one dinner before a conference (what a waste of being in a great food city). Where should I go for dinner? What about Bayona versus other chocies? Also, I love pralines - who has the best?

There's a stand in the French Market that sells wonderful pralines--wish I could recall the name of it, but I think it's the only one in the market, so you'll know it when you see it. HIGHLY recommended.

      Loretta's Pralines

w/your dinner choice, Bayona is great. if you want more suggestions, what do you like and what part of town will you be in and will you take public transportation or have a car?

I vote for Southern Candymakers as best pralines. http://www.southerncandymakers.com/

I will be at the Ritz-Carlton, but can be flexible about location. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Bayona is very good, and just a short walk from the Ritz-Carlton. The setting is very nice, and the food has always been great, along with the service.

There are many others, and rather across the board, but Bayona should be a good choice.

Though not THAT recently, I have done several FQ and near-by reviews, one when we stayed at the Ritz. If anything in those is of interest, people can tell you exactly how they are at this moment.

Thanks so much. Does Loretta's ring a bell?
