Husband chipped enamle on my LeCreuset lid

I have a Dijon yellow Lecresuet enameled cast iron frch oven. My husband was washing the lid-and he dropped it onto our porcelain sink. It chipped a bit from the lid.

SO beware, although i love my lecreuset, the exterior enamel can chip rather easily is dropped onto a hard surface. The lid probably fell at most 12 inches.

    1. Thanks. Some of myLC stuff is over 30 yrs old and is chipped, too, but works just fine. Can't blame my hubby - just the normal wear and tear of life. My Mario Batali dutch oven chips even more easily, but still works okay.

        1. In thirty years you'll look at that chipped lid and remember when it happened. If you're still married, you'll smile and think about how young and in love you were. If you're not still married, you'll smile and think how happy you are to be rid of that idiot. I consider this kind of thing to be one of the battle scars of life. Don't worry - the pot will still work just fine.
