Dallas: LF place to eat, drink, and watch the cowboys.

Howdy. I go to school in Highland Park, Dallas, and I'm looking for a good (or even decent) place to eat, drink, and watch the cowboys play this weekend. If you know of a place with good food or drinks and a good atmosphere that you'd recommend please let me know.

I searched the board and didn't find a similar topic but if I missed it please point me in the right direction.

I wouldn't exactly call it good, but I always liked watching games at The Wild Turkey. It's not a chain and it's not pretentious and it does have a personality, though whether you like the personality depends a lot on the type of person you are. Located on Walnut Hill Lane off 35.

    Sometimes they have all-you-can-eat fajitas.

That said, I'm currently stuck on the Fort Worthless side of the Metroplex and generally end up in a Buffalo Wild Wings on game days. Bleh.

The only two places that I've been to that aren't chains for football watching are Austin Avenue in Plano and the National Sports Lounge or whatever it's called on Greenville. I prefer Austin Avenue, the food is ok (I guess it's pretty good and reasonably priced for a sports bar). It's usually pretty packed but you can get a seat as long as you're there at least 2 minutes before the game starts. There's a fancy place called the Boardroom, which sounds too douche-y for me to want to try.

Austin Avenue= Great darts and wonderful place to watch a game. Plus the mega over-sized drafts are cheap.

You might consider going to the Granada Theater on Greenville. They are showing the game on a huge screen. It will be a great atmosphere. If you are with your family and can go to a sports bar, Christie's (on McKinney) is usually my choice.
