English Style Scampi & chips?

husband is an english ex pat - and looking for english style shrimp scampi (breaded)

i've looked at the menus at the usual suspects - but no luck

anyone know?

I've been to the usual British places (my husband is an English expat too!) but haven't seen that item. Are these your usual suspects:

Tea & Sympathy
A Salt and Battery
Chip Shop

I don't know if it would help to expand to Scottish or Australian (e.g. St. Andrews, Sunburnt Cow, Tuck Shop).
