Small Plates at Prose

On Wednesday and Thursday nights, Prose on Mass Ave in Arlington is doing wonderful small plates. I just got back from dining on roasted cauliflower with Szechuan peppercorns, A red pepper and cream bisque with Spicy Maine Shrimp, Confit of chicken thighs with caramelized onions, and a risotto with porcini and Swiss chard. All for $24. This was a little too much for me. Three plates would have been enough (I took home about a half of a plate). Each dish was perfect, but I want to elaborate a little on the soup. Deborah, the owner/chef, makes great creamy soups. They are not as good as great sex but way better than bad sex. If you have 75-90 minutes for a leisurely, mid week dinner check out the small plates at Prose.
