Anyone have a rec on a caterer that can do excellent Hawaiian food for a luau party I am throwing for my husband's big birthday this summer?

You should check out the South Bay and look around at all the Hawaiian restaurants..... Bruddahs, King's Hawaiian, Back Home in Lahaina, etc. I'm not a big fan of Hawaiian food so I couldn't tell you which is the best or which offers catering or what your budget is....

Check out the restaurant Cherrystones in Gardena. They do some great luau stuff.

Leonard does an excellent cater. You can have it there at Cherrystone or he can come to you. Same with Happa in Gardena. Both have poke which is Hawaiian marinated raw fish and kalua pork. Other dishes like kalbi and chicken long rice are also available for mainland-style luaus as well as many other Hawaii-style dishes. All you'll need now is the dancing girls which is another topic to discuss.
