Campanile Soup Kitchen Menu

Campanile is offering their Soup Kitchen menu on Wednesday nights to the general public, not just writer's guild members.

The menu consists of a soup, a choice of 3 entrees, and a dessert (I've only seen ice cream so far) for $22.

I went last night and had heirloom carrot soup with a cumin creme fraiche, flat iron steak with fries, and home made vanilla ice cream with two biscotti of different kinds, one of them being chocolate. It was a great meal in a great space for a really great price.
The steak was absolutely perfect. So much flavour both from the wood fired grill and the beef, spot-on medium rare, perfectly seasoned with an addicting red wine sauce drizzled around the plate, great for slathering up with the slightly oversalted skinny fries.
The fries were almost identical to the Father's Office fries, which I don't think that much of--I always get the sweet potato fries.
Also on the plate was a small lettuce salad which was oversalted like the fries.
Ice cream is just about my favourite dessert, so this dessert was right up my alley. It wasn't a game changer by any means, but a nice ending to a delightful meal.
Most times when I get a steak, I always think, I could do this better at home for a lot less money. This was a rare time when I actually don't want to bbq a steak anytime soon because I won't be able to replicate the flavour country I just visited.

All of this for $22!
