I'm looking for an Authentic Isaan Style Thai Restaurant

Having migrated here from San Diego, there is one restaurant that I truly truly miss. It's Sab-E-Lee, a little hole-in-the-wall Thai place with just the most delicious, authentic northern Thai food ever.

I'm looking for something similar here in the Bay Area. Even more specifically, I'm looking for a particular dish. It's Spicy Raw Beef, Koy Nua, ก้อยเนื้อ or as I like to call it, spicy heaven. I CRAVE it.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Sam

      1. I've been told that Isaan Thai is actually fairly similar to Laotian as many of the people living there are Laotian. Given that, you might want to try some of the Laotian restaurants in the area or check out yummyrice's posts.

I like That Luang in San Pablo and Green Papaya Deli in Oakland. Green Papaya definitely has at least one raw beef item on the menu. That Luang used to, but was apparently scolded by the powers that be for using farm fresh beef.
