plantains in Bellevue?
I volunteered to bring fried plantains to my daughter's class -- but I don't know where to buy plantains. Can anyone point me to a source? I live in Bellevue.
Thanks!

Many groceries carry them, even mainstream ones. But ones aimed Asian and Hispanic market are likely to have a better price and selection. If you are planning on frying ripe ones, you need to plan ahead, to give them time to ripen (i.e. black). Green ones can be fried too, but it usually a two step process (look up tostones).
