Bakery needed Brockton and points south

I need to order a cake for my daughter's college graduation and would like to get it from a bakery in the Brockton, Taunton, Mansfield, Norton area (or possibly Foxboro).

Haven't been to a bakery in this area in a long time. But have liked White's Pastry Shop on Pearl Street in Brockton.

We need a bakery that has the ability to make cake layered in fondant to look like a package with a bow on it. Would also like a baker that cares about the quality of the cake.

Any suggestions, or should we go with White's? Thanks!

If you want a very special custom cake that is geared towards your specifics, contact Ooo! Cakes by Luisa. She had made custom cakes for our family birthdays.

There aren't many great choices in the area that I'm aware of. White's is pretty good, and there's also Konditor Meister in Braintree, and Montilio's in Quincy, but I haven't had cakes from either. We always make the trek to Party Favors in Brookline if we need a good specialty cake.

Thanks all, I will probably stick with White's. Winedude, funny you should mention Party Favors. I had a cake specially designed there for my boyfriend (now husband) in 1980, and we still talk about it, it was so cool.

I'd agree with White's - especially if it's close to you - which is my hubby fave. Used to to go to the White's in Braintree but now it's Ivy's, which I think is former White's employees. I also like Guarino's in Norwood - especially their chocolate torte, which is a strawberry shortcake made with FRESH whipped cream, chocolate cake & strawberries.
