Fresh O-Toro available at Court House fish today

I stopped in today to pick up something for dinner and noticed they had a couple of beautiful pieces of O-Toro (Belly Tuna). I have never seen this available in a Boston fish market and it looked absolutely fantastic. It was priced at $15.99 a lb but I couldn't resist because O-Toro is probably my favorite of all sushi choices so I bought a half pound piece that I will be using for some sashimi tonight. They also had fresh Uni and their usual great selection of other fish and shellfish. I love this place and tro to make a stop there whenever I can.

They had two fairly large pieces when I was there yesterday. Each piece I would guess was about 3 to 5 pounds. I bought a half pound and it was delicious served as sashimi. I also bought some cockles and made a delicious linguine pasta with them. I my opinion cockles are the best for clam sauces and beat out littlenecks for taste.

Wow, that sounds really good. Also very reasonable, or dare I say cheap? Do you know if they will be offering this all week? Unfortunately, I can't get there before they close today

Take advantage of it, they only offer chutoro (mostly) or otoro a few times per year and for a lot less money than akamai at most other fish markets.
