Saturday breakfast in Hinesburg or Vergennes?
I know there's places in Burlington, but the good ones open at 8 AM on weekends and we want to get on the road early. We're heading south, so wondered if there are any recs for these towns or in that area. Doesn't have to be fancy and hopefully not too slow.

Are you looking for a bacon/eggs/toast/pancake kind of breakfast? If not, in Hinesburg I like Koval's Coffee. They have muffins, donuts, croissants, etc. Coffee too obviously. They also do breakfast sandwiches.
I know that Papa Franks in Hinesburg serves breakfast but can't comment on it as I have never been for b-fast.
Will you be going through Middlebury? If so I can recommend Steve's Park Diner and Rosie's. I also like the food at the Farmer's Diner but the last time I was there the service was very slow which turned me off a bit.-

I think we do want a full breakfast, or at least that option, and figured that Vergennes probably had someplace good. We'll be in Middlebury and I know those places, but it will be closer to lunch time by then. Thanks for the mention of Papa Franks, although I hope that's the owner and not the menu!

Doh. I meant Papa Nicks!
Vergennes - totally forgot. 3 Squares Cafe. That would be my choice. Have not had breakfast there but lunch is great. I would choose this over Papa NIck's.
