I'm looking for a place to buy good looseleaf tea in town. I looked online, and apparently there used to be a tea store called Indonique, but it's definitely closed down now. Suggestions?

Wow, thanks so much everyone. I'll have to check these out. I frequent hong kong market regularly, and although they have a whole aisle of tea, its a lot of repeats of the same types of teas.

Hi. I'm the owner of Indonique Tea & Chai. Our teas are sold at Stein's Deli, 2207 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70130-5636 (504) 527-0771 and online at http://indonique.com. We appreciate your business and hope you'll make note of our new business model that returns 10% of every sale to tea growing communities of India.

Indonique! I've been thinking about you! I miss your tea shop. Any plans to reopen?
Do you sell your chai cookies? They were great & I'd love to get some! Thanks for responding to this thread!

Yes, the Bottom of the Tea Cup on Chartres on the FQ has loads of loose teas. Great selection. And the coffee shop in the Rink at Prytania and Washington has some, too.
