Need moderately priced, excellent restaurant in SFV (near 101/405) other than Cafe Bizou.

Girls Night Out is this Friday and we need a good, preferably great restaurant. Cafe Bizou isn't that great anymore and I would love some recommendations from fellow Hounds. Thanks!

Simon's Cafe on Sepulveda is great ... Mediterranean/Morrocan fare ... their chicken tagine is wonderful!

I'm not sure what you consider moderately priced but Boneyard Bistro has a great collection of grub.

Ca del Sole used to really good, several years ago, when i was a regular. Hope it still is.

Raphael is newer in Studio City and quite good.

Marche (the former Max space), which is practically across the street from Bizou and specializes in small plates. SFV's AOC or Palate.

Highly recommend Marche! I think it's the best restaurant in the Valley these days. (It's probably a bit more $$ than Bizou, but less than Palate or AOC; you can check menu on-line).

Sorry folks, I went to Marche LA for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and was disappointed. Marche is cursed with ill conceived recipes and fussy service. And IMO it was over priced. When you are served dished small plate dishes they had better be good.
