New falafel in Bethesda

Mister Big Jan 12, 2010 11:06 AM

Got a menu in the mail from Ali Baba's Falafel, 7155 Wisconsin Ave., Bethesda, and immediately got a delivery. Their falafel is the best I've had this side of Max's, and they offer two sizes. The large is gigantic. They also offer a Kosher half smoked that is pretty tasty, and a small variety of other sandwiches including gyros.

Highly recommended, and THEY DELIVER.

Is this a store or lunch cart? I noticed a new lunch stand next to the Bethesda Women's farmers market the other day.

Isn't that the truck? If so, I found their sandwiches very messy, seemingly Americanized (odd toppings) and the falafel to be odd and dense. Also if so, I remember somebody pointing out they use a source other than chickpeas.

^^Ah! Thanks for the link. So I guess your place is different. I'll have to try it out as Bethesda is lacking for a good falafel (which is why I had hoped the truck one was okay - but apparently not).
