Suggestions for a 21st Birthday

I'm looking for something for my 21st. However, I don't want the typical 21st at a mega club, but something a bit more intimate and upscale, but also fun. I was thinking the Gibson might be a good option. Does anyone know if they have a minimum for reserved tables? Or does anyone know of a place with good drinks, dancing, good music, but isn't overwhelming and slightly trashy? I'm thinking something in the vein of ChaCha club or Le Baron in Paris. Is the Eighteenth Street Lounge a good option for this sort of thing?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

  1. If you go to 18th street lounge before 10:00 PM you won't have to pay door cover $10 ladies sometimes $20 for men. You can also claim a couch without having to reserve it. For not overwhelming and slightly trashy with good music, might I suggest Madam's Organ in Adams Morgan? Also, Reef is a good place for 21st birthdays. Enjoy yourself, drink within your limits and make sure you have a good carb based dinner before you go out.
