I'd love to go to a chow worthy place for dinner before going to this Museum. Any suggestions? Completely open to all cuisines! I am not familiar with the area whatsoever so could use a bit of guidance. Thanks so much!!!

Himmarshee Bar and Grill is probably the quality of the lot. Tarpon Bend is a good time and very good pub grub (best potato salad in Broward, IMHO). Porterhouse is inconsistent, trying too hard to be a steak house. Ugly Tuna is a frat boy good time, cheap drinks and rowdy behavior. Downtowner is decent bar food, good blues on weekends, excellent location for siting beside the river and watching the world go by.

Himmarshee has the advantage of being very close to the Museum, making parking easy and convenient.

Or you can go a few blocks east to Las Olas Blvd. and Johnnie V's

Definitely second Johnnie V's. Will be way better than anything on Himarshee. Smith and Jones (by the same executive chef as Johnnie V) is good as well.

Both menus look great. Any suggestions for a place to go after for drinks? It's a rare date night w/ my husband, and i'd love some place that fun with great drinks. we're in our early 30s if this helps. thanks!

Try YOLO on Las Olas Blvd. It's just a few blocks west of Johnny V.

Tom Jenkin's Barbeque at Davie Blvd. and US1. They're closed on Mondays.
