Someone please tell me why it has been so long since I've been. My friend and I were the first two in the door today when they opened for lunch. I glanced at the menu and to my surprise they had my favorite dish, shrimp creole. My friend had a cup of delicious gumbo and a shrimp remoulade. My shrimp creole was fantastic. The salad with house made Italian dressing was just lettuce and a slice of tomato but the dressing was excellent. It had a nice spicy kick to it. By the time we left there was a long line at the door. I'm ready to go back next Sunday.

  1. My wife absolutely loves the shrimp remoulade there, it's always on our list when I am back in town

    1. i totally agree. their shrimp creole is nicely spiced, one of my favorite on the menu. they also have awesome veal parmesan and stuffed fish. the portions are enormous, almost overwhelming.

        I ate some leftovers earlier and still have enough for two more meals.

          My wife and I like to go on Mondays for lunch. Along with red beans, they have the shrimp creole as a daily special. For the last couple of weeks, they have also had the creole eggplant as a "blackboard special." it is outstanding. We order a shrimp remoulade to share and each get a different special to share. We have to get take out boxes-overwhelming amount of food. I like crackers on the table, reminds me of younger days.

      2. Mrs. F, you'll love the sketties we were discussing and I think you are correct about their meatballs going better with it than the Italian sausage. I'll get turtle soup this time, too. Maybe they'll even let me pour my own sherry. :D
