Looking for prix fixes or specials in the DC/Arlington area

Hey there...I am visiting friends this month in DC and would love to treat them to a nice meal. The problem is that I don't have a lot of money...for the three of us with a cocktail, wine, two or three course and gratuity, I'd like to keep it to 200-250.

I found a nice deal at Tosca before 7...35 for 3 courses and their wine list has some reasonable choices. But I'm still investigating and wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions or recommendations.

Thanks!

You might want to check out Obelisk. It's been a while for me but they used to only be prix fixe and I think it's within range.

I believe Obelisk is now $70 pp, so out of the OP's range once you add drinks and wine for 3.

DH and I were there a couple years ago when visiting DC and really enjoyed it.

Ray's the Steaks might fit. The special, which has a steak, the veggies, and dessert, comes to $19.95. If you make a reservation, you get to sit in the better part of the restaurant. And, of course, the wine list is fine.

Rays is an awesome deal. FYI- I think it's only available Mon-Thurs, but not sure. And you actually get a choice of soup/salad to start, and their crab bisque may be my single favorite dish of all time. The veggies (creamed spinach and mashed potatoes) are included w/ the prixe fixe and every meal. Last course is the dessert, and they have awesome chocolate mousses (white, milk and dark), haven't trying anything else as I can't get passed the mousse (I think white chocolate is actually my favorite).

Check out Kora, in Crystal City. I've always been a Morou fan, but the specials they are running makes it super easy. They have something called a "power lunch" and its like restaurant week, but cheaper. I think they also have dinner specials, and a well priced tasting menu. Check it out!
