Looking for cooking classes - beginner (and I do mean beginner)

I'm not sure if this sort of classes are available but I even need the basics to get going. I really want to learn but not sure where to begin. I would rather be in a class setting (small if possible) than to read a book and try to follow along that.

Anyone have any recommendations?

  1. ICE is your first stop in cooking classes, especially at beginner level. karen lee and the social table are also two good places to take classes. check them out. if you don't see a beginner class contact them to see when they will be offered.

    1. institute of culinary education (www.iceculinary.com
)if you look in the techniques section there's a class called cooking 101.

I've taken the knife skills class there and it was excellent.
