Does anybody know where I can get dried ancho, anaheim, and chipotle chilies in Edmonton for a mole?
So far, I have only been able to find geneic dried chilies or habaneros.
I typically buy mine when away from Edmonton, but in a pinch, Sobeys Urban Fresh has a few different kinds.
Most regular Sobeys also have a decent selection.
I think they also have some at the Italian Centre, and at the Portuguese Bakery on 118th Avenue.
Thanks for the tips. I ended up getting chipotle from Sunterra and the ancho and anaheim chilies from Paraiso Tropical (9136 118 Avenue)
Stop in at El Rancho Latin Market: -10404 118 Avenue Northwest.
I've picked up a wide array of dried chilies there (4-6 kinds including ancho, pasilla etc..)
Try Sunterra - they sometimes have a good selection of dried chilies, not sure exactly what at any one time though
