Back Again for the Food!!!
Hi fellow Chowhounds. I am returning to NOLA the last week in January..hopefully the weather will improve, last January when we visited it was in the 70's!!!! I was there the last week of October and as usual the dining was incredible. This trip we can fit in 2 dinners and 2 lunches. Bistro daisy is closed on Monday so we are going to go there on Tuesday night for dinner. I have to admit to having drank too much during the day on our last trip, I also was still stuffed from lunch, so I only ordered an appetizer I love gumbo, duck, foie gras, shrimp, French food, creole food, so I would like some suggestions. We will only be in town Mon-Wed to it is important to not have any so so meals. I was wondering about MR. B's Bistro for lunch..for the gumbo and BBQ shrimp. I have never eaten there. I was thinking Coqutte and Martinque Grill..yes or no??
Here are the restaurants I have been to on my many trips to NOLA
Le Petit Grocery
Thanks for all suggestions.
Coquette and Martinique are both great choices. I'd add Boucherie, Iris, Clancy's and Luke.
Mr. B's is best at lunch. Rib Room is also a nice choice, but be sure to reserve a window table. Getting some buzz, check out Green Goddess and Le Meritage.
