Eating at The Four's before a Celtics game

It's probably a zoo...but any idea how early you'd have to show up for a table or eat at the Bar?
any food suggestions?

This is for Monday night

thanks in advance

Show up as early as you can 5-5:30-ish. If they are too busy try Porters on Portland St also for good pub fare and probably less crowded.

If you arrive by 5, you'll have no problems. The menu actually has many worthy items, including the aforementioned Bobby Orr, the buffalo chicken nachos, the burgers, and surprisingly good turkey tips. I've also enjoyed the shrimp tempura app., the chili, and lobster mac n' cheese, the latter being as good as any pub version in the city. I can't recommend the bbq ribs though. Not so great.

I usually find it's easier to sit at the bar if there's not more than 2. The timing varies; if we're playing LA you need to get there early.

Bobby Orr sandwich is always good (tender steak tips with melted cheese) if you are in the mood for that sort of thing. Never been disappointed with the nachos. Everything else I've had there (burgers, salads) has always been forgettable and mediocre. Have a great time at the game. Go Celts!
