ISO Friday Night Fish Fry

I'm real glad I'm not back in Chicago right now (brrr!), but every Friday night, I find myself yearning for a good old midwestern style fish fry. You know, the ones that every corner tavern and rural roadhouse seem to have...perch, cod, whatever, there are many variations.

Any place in So Cal that offers anything like this? I'm based in OC but would drive a ways to find a good Friday fry. Thanks.

Johnny Rebs' in Orange has a pretty good Friday night white fish fry, all you can eat for $10.99. They also do an AYCE catfish fry on Tues. and Thurs.

Great place for fried fish Monday through Saturday (not just Friday) is England Fish and Chips in Long Beach. 3 big pieces of fried fish and chips for only $5.29 plus tax. Kind of a dive but the fried fish is great.

Not a Friday Fish Fry, but the fried fish at Fisherman's Outlet in downtown Los Angeles is just like the fried fish you'd get at those fish frys.
Only other problem is they close at 3:30 and closed Sundays.

Yup! They hand bread the fish FRESH... not frozen.. it's an awesome thing. :)

I remember the same delicious thing from Wisconsin, Chicago, and southern Illinois. I'd ask the Knights of Columbus -- anywho.com lists several in Orange County.
