Frozen chicken dumplings in Chinatown?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a good place to buy frozen chicken dumplings in Chinatown. Unfortunately most of the reviews and posts that I've seen are about pork dumplings, which my girlfriend (unfortunately!) won't eat.

Is there any place known for good chicken dumplings? What about frozen--who has decent prices?

Thanks for the help!

          You can get Vegetable dumplings at Prosperity, but I do not believe they offer any Chicken Dumpling versions.;

          Vanessa's appears to have a Chicken Dumpling with Mushrooms available. I would call first to check.

                      i did LOVE their chix mushroom though; i was very upset when they stopped making it....the chicken salad is delish too though.

                          Sorry to say, I have never been to Vanessa's, and only recently have been able to enjoy the virtues of Prosperity, which I reviewed in the following thread.

                          I'm sure I would love Vanessa's equally as well, but what are your thoughts comparing the two places? TIA

                    2. Hua Du dumplings on the corner of Grand and Chrystie (part of fish/meat market) have a lot of different varieties including chicken and mushroom, etc. prices are $8-12 for 50 dumplings.

                        1. Tasty Dumpling at 54 Mulberry has pretty good ones (50 for $12). There was another excellent spot on 214 Grand Street but Bo Ky took over the space.

                              I really like Tasty's chicken dumplings--they have lots of good mushrooms in them, too.

                                    I'm also open to turkey dumplings, or really anything without pork in them. Chicken/turkey and chive is ideal, but chicken and mushroom dumplings are great too!
