Chinatown Market Recommendations

Can anyone recommend an Asian market (in Chinatown or thereabouts) where I can send my husband for a variety of bottled sauces?

(Making pork belly. Yum.)

i usually go to the one on 4th and spring garden. incredibly cheap veggies too and lots of live fish in tanks freshly prepared as you like....

there's one right next to ocean harbor. that's where we usually go.
there's a bigger one somewhere in chinatown, down in the basement. i know that's vague...

I think that's Asia Supermarket on the corner of Race....and 11th? Just where the Convention Center activity ends and Chinatown starts.

Pork belly sounds great. Let us know how it turns out!

Know the basement market. Hard to find, best enterance is thru the parking garage but it is a real gem, albeit in the rough. Good luck finding it.

Yep, that's it. They have an amazing array of sauces and soup bases.

I agree with mazza3-- Spring Garden Market at 4th and Spring Garden is pretty great, especially for bottled sauces. There's a parking lot in back, but also usually lots of street parking on Spring Garden.
