Can anyone ID this Indian rice dish?

I can't really give a lot of details but, it looked rather similar to Spanish rice (and for that matter, didn't taste that different), perhaps with a deeper color. Lots of cilantro on top, w/chicken. It was quite good. Had this while out of town at some hole in the wall place and have no idea what the name of the restaurant was else I'd try to look them up on the web.

    1. Biryani. Good stuff.

        1. Could be a chicken pullao. Were the chicken pieces dry or was there some type of gravy/sauce clinging to them?

            1. most likely a biryani rice prep. here are some photos: http://images.google.com/images?client=safari&rls=en&q=biryani&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi

btw, mr. alka thinks patak's biryani paste makes a pretty decent biryani for the home cook without a ton of indian spices. http://www.amazon.com/Pataks-Biryani-...
              he always adds cashews, too.
