One Night In Vegas (Oh...and lunch, too.)

My BF and I are traveling through Vegas on our way to Zion and Bryce Canyons in late April. I've been to Vegas twice (ate at Paris and Mesa Grill) and he's a newbie. Not sure where we'll be staying yet-- but it also happens to be his 30th birthday while we're there. We've traveled extensively and love all cuisines...I've done a lot of browsing over Vegas posts...but wondering if you had 24 hours in Vegas where would you HAVE to eat before flying out.

As for budget-- I'd like to stick to under $200 for dinner. But I could be persuaded for the right chef :)

  1. I lived in LV for two years, and there's no shortage of high quality experiences to enjoy, even though they all blur into one another at some point. The two that stand out to me are L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in the MGM Grand and Fleur de Lys in Mandalay Bay. L'Atelier has an expensive (under $100 but not by much if I recall) tasting menu of like, 9 courses, and it was a lot of fun. However, I think you might enjoy Fleur de Lys more - as a Hubert Keller joint, it's got impeccable food, and you want to reserve the semi-private booth - they have booths with translucent curtains that give you privacy - it was a great Valentine's Day experience for me and my girlfriend.
