Pepsi with real Suger
I understand that Pepsi will be distributing a limited edition of Throwback Pepsi and Throwback Mountain Dew. The Throwback contains real sugar instead of HFCS.
"Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback feature natural sugar with a taste that gives consumers an idea of how the brands tasted back in the 60's and 70's," says Nicole Bradley a spokesperson for the company. "Consumers have told us that they enjoy taking a nostalgic trip back in time with these special retro versions."
These beverages will only be available for a limited eight-week run which started on December 28th.
Not only will the taste be different but the look of the bottle has also been tinkered with. Gone is the smiling circle that currently graces Pepsi sodas. It will be replaced by a retro Pepsi logo as will the Mountain Dew bottles.
I will be looking for this but if anyone sees it locally please post where!
oh god. i'm 23 and i've never had mountain dew with cane sugar.
i can't imagine how incredible and/or gross it is.
Both were available at the "Northridge Market", in the "North End" of the Northridge Mall, close to the Apple Store and Wood Ranch, yesterday.
Saw the Pepsi this morning at Costco in Simi Valley. $5.29 for an 18-pack of 12-oz cans. No Mountain Dew, though.
