Are smelts available with the heads on anymore?
I keep finding smelts be-headed but need them with the heads on. Anybody seen them fresh or frozen?

I've bought smelts/sardines at Loblaws which are frozen. They are not gutted, so you have to defrost first to gut them. Also, my various Southeast Asian and Chinese grocery stores have whole fish of all kinds in the freezer. Most are intact (meaning heads and guts).

I would assume Kensington Market has them. There's a Portuguese shop on Ossington @ Dundas that might have them. They have a lot of whole small fish, so there could be some smelt in there...
