Westchester: does anyone know the name of the restaurant where a group (of diners) cooks and then eats?

I once heard of a restaurant in lower or mid Westchester where a group can go cook a meal, and then eat it, on a Saturday night. I think it was in Rye...

a group of friends are having a sat. nite reunion and I thought something like that could be fun. has anyone heard of this concept or by chance know the name of the place?

thanks

I think it's called your home kitchen!!! Sorry, couldn't resist. So, that is something you pay for? I have heard of cooking classes like that, but not a restaurant.

yeah, I know...just cook a meal at home. We do that every nite!!!

what I had heard about is a cooking class/sat nite out with friends, with good wine, in a prof. cooks restaurant kitchen, where you are guided in preparing an amazing meal (multi course)then eat and dont have to clean up.

But I can't remember the name of the restaurant or place where you can do this, so I might HAVE to do it at home:)

I think the late MacMenamin's Grill in New Rochelle tried that for awhile.

I have hosted a party at my house using a personal chef out of Westchester, let me know if you are interested and I will get you her info.

You should give Plates a call. They host cooking parties for kids and you might persuade them to try it with adults. Let us know if it works out.

I should add that Plates puts on a fabulous private party in general! My FIL did my MIL's surprise party there last winter-took the whole place- and it was fantastic!
