Made to order churros at the Escondido Swap Meet

beth1 Jan 4, 2010 09:28 AM

So yesterday my husband and I decided to go to the Swap Meet in Escondido, just to see what was new. There is now a couple of guys with a churro cart next to Fiesta Oaxaquena on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The churros are$3 per bag (about 6-7 6-ish inch churros per bag), and each bag is made to order. It's the only time I've ever waited in line for a churro, and will gladly do it again.

And no churros at Bavarian Foods (hot dogs) near entrance. Usually available on Fridays & Sundays, but they said they're cleaning the cart today.

Anything else of note to eat there?

Fiesta Oaxaquena is there - but they also just opened a full restaurant called El Tejate. You may also want to check out Holiday Wine Cellars in Esco.
