Hi, I'm pregnant and i keep craving Fresh Fruit Tarts, Chocolate Mousse. Does anyone know of any good places around Hudson, MA

    1. Mmm..that does sound good. You might want to post on the New England board - more folks from the Hudson area read that one than the Boston board. I wonder if Chloe would do dessert takeout? Might be worth a call.

        1. Isn't there something called the European Bakery on Rt. 62 a couple of blocks east of Chloe, on the other side of the street? Near the South St. intersection, as I recall.

Sounds like Siva's bakery. Not a fruit tart type, but great custard tarts.

God no, but same side of the street and not far from Silva's. I looked it up: European Bakery, 172 Main St. I haven't been over that way in a year so I am not sure it is still there.

                2. Is there a Whole Foods near you? They have delicious fruit tarts.

I second this. Whole Foods has a delicious fruit tart. It's my go-to dessert when I'm assigned to bring dessert to a party.

                      • Madrid European Bakery on route 20 in Marlboro has fresh fruit tarts.I have not had them so cannot vouch for them.

                          1. I just saw this post while I was searching for fruit tart in the chicago area. I moved here from Boston, and for me, Shaw's had the best fruit tart in the Boston area. absolutely delicious. I am craving it badly and cannot find any good store here that carries the same type.

I made the reverse move (from Chicago to Boston). So, if you are still looking for good desserts in Chicago make sure to check out Julius Meinl (Southport and Addison) and Austrian Bakery (Clark, just north of Fulleron)

                                • Went by European Bakery in Hudson, MA today and it was closed. Don't know if it's permanent as I don't live in the area. Thursday afternoon seems like an odd time to be closed.
