Hey all-

We're planning ahead for my Nana's 90th birthday in October, and we wanted a really nice place in Raleigh Durham for lunch on a Saturday, but all the places we've thought of (Angus Barn, Magnolia Grill, Second Empire) are closed for lunch. Any suggestions would be appreciated....

If there's one that she loves above all others, call and talk to the manager. Explain the occassion and ask if you could arrange for an early dinner...like at 2pm with a limited menu?
What are her favorite dishes? Which restaurants do them authentically?
I can see some restaurant getting some nice publicity out of this (of course you wouldn't go at it from this angle, it would, however, be langniappe for them afterwards.
