McDonald's hits new low - "some more" pie

I am a fan of Mcd's in general for what it does - their Angus burgers try hard despite a high price point (noticed everything was raised 20¢ or so in my local to celebrate 2010 ) and some of their salads and fries aren't bad, though caloric. Ditto their apple pies fresh out of the oven at 2 for $1.39 are good for what they are.

BUT

Has anyone else tried their new "pie" flavour, a so-called "Some More" ? not sure how they spell it, but we all know what is intended - that good old campfire/boy scout confection of a wedge of chocolate and a marshmallow stuffed between a couple of graham crackers and thrown in foil until a gooey mess ensues. Great about once a year.

The gnomes at Mcd's testing centre have bombed on their version, however - the crust isn't bad though it doesn't echo graham cracker to me; then it's all downhill - a sort of runny, not gooey, flavourless white glop in lieu of marshmallow (their innovators might have picked up some much-needed tips from Greg's Ice Cream about how to create a roasted 'mallow flavour) and a disgusting (polite word) "chocolate" layer where the colour is right and that's about it - no discernable chocolate flavour, more like some cheap chocolate milk mix darkened and diluted with that sort of floury-soapy taste we all remember from chilhood.

Sorry guys, this one is a miss ! Bring back the faux ribs - "better" by far...

Don't know where you live, but stopped at the Redlands, CA McDonald's and they had the McRib meal for $2.99 (w/large fries and med. drink) and apple and cherry pies for 35 cents each. Didn't notice that new pie you're talking about.
Stopping by a Los Angeles MCD's and the same McRib meal was $3.89.

I noticed today they were advertising a "chicken parmigiana wrap" for $1.99. Too scared to try it, though.

There was a sign for a Mac wrap. I can't stand their tortillas which are flabby and make me think that this is what eating human skin would taste like.

Snort. Rworange..... that may be the most eloquent description ever.
