Inexpensive Sunday lunch in Rome, historic center?

There are a number of threads discussing places open for sunday lunch in rome, but after two weeks watching the Euros fly from my pockets, most of the suggestions are a bit rich for my blood. Is there anywhere in the historic center where I can get a truly reasonably priced lunch and still eat delicious, honest local food?

Thanks!

  1. Der Pallaro is inexpensive and open on Sunday. Whether it fits your other criteria is debatable. Just across the river in Trastevere, Augusto on Piazza de' Renzi is open.

      Isn't Augusto closed Sundays?
