I'm looking for a restaurant for after Lewis Black tonight in downtown San Diego- ideally finer dining that's willing to seat/serve at 10 or so. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

We ended up at Nobu, and I should have known better. Spotty service, terrible crowd (seriously, who brings someone to Nobu to break up), ok food.

Ouch. Should have ran that one by us.

      "Spotty service, terrible crowd "

      You are guaranteed that.

Welcome to San diego's "A-list" crowd.

"seriously, who brings someone to Nobu to break up"

someone who is trying to assuage their guilt by taking you to a "name" brand restaurant
        sorry that happened to you!

Cafe Chloe can get a little jumpy on closing times. On a weekend night you might be ok, but I would call ahead to be sure.

Although not downtown, Yakatori serves late for sure and I think Cucina Urbana serve late.

I second Yakatori. They do serve late and the food is good.
