"Hole in the wall" Italian (Ballston Spa or nearby)?

I was at a party last night and we got to talking about restaurants . . . Someone mentioned a good Italian restaurant, "hole in the wall" from outside. I believe they said in Ballston Spa.

Does anyone know this place?

  1. I have not been, but I bet they were referring to Augie's

Thanks, yellowlablover. It's not Augie's. They said the outside looked like a "hole in the wall," BTW, Augie's has a nice appearance and large parking lot.

8Tables fits the description, except it's not in Ballston Spa. Augie's is the only Italian restaurant in Ballston Spa. We have hole-in-the wall hot dog joints, pubs-with-grub, coupla fish-fry places, but not Italian.

There's a hole-in-the-wall I talian in a Ballston Spa strip mall called Sonny and Jeff's. It's okay if you like everything alfredo.

            Thanks, gerhcak198 . . . maybe it's Sonny & Jeff's. She said the marinara sauce was the best she's had . . .

Nah. Mostly a glorified pizza store, with mediocre pizza. Sonny's in Malta is much better, but not for marinara sauce. Maybe "Ballston Spa" is wrong and they're thinking of Village Pizzeria in East Galway? They bottle their marinara sauce, and it's genuinely good.
