21st Birthday

My friends 21st birthday is coming up next tuesday and we wanted to go to a fun place for both good drinks and spectacular food. We were thinking something like tapas, maybe Malaga or a fun wine bar, perhaps Mulberry? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

OT, my son doesn't drink and for his 21st b'day he went to a bar and ordered water on the rocks. He said the bartender's expression was priceless!

Mulberry's great but tiny-- I'd call ahead and get a reservation if possible. Other places to throw in the mix: Parkside and La Condesa for food and drink, Good Knight and Eastside Showroom mostly for drinks, though the food's totally fine at both.
