Where to find Malted Milk Powder in boston area

I need malted milk powder for a recipe and Foodies and Stop and Shop don't carry it. Any ideas welcomed!

Ovaltine is sold at any regular grocery store. Makes the best malts.

My own feeling is that the Ovaltine sold in the USA has too much sugar and not very high-quality cocoa (it's a Nestlé product here). I prefer to add those ingredients separately.

Horlicks is the best malted milk powder. Ovaltine should be avoided. I consistently find Horlicks in East Asian foodstores. I think the last bottle I bought was at the Brighton Super 88 (now HK).

I buy mine in the aisle with tea/coffee and cocoa stuff... it is usually on bottom shelf somewhere... I just bought some at Johnnies Foodmaster

I got mine (Carnation brand) at Shaw's (the one in Everett, but most of them carry it), in the baking section, if memory serves. A delicious addition to my hot chocolate these days.

You might also look for it in the coffee aisle near the Coffeemate/Cremora products. Alternatively, it might be where the Nesquick/Hershey's syrup is found.

Do you mean something like Horlicks? You could look in the Irish/English aisle, or in an Indian grocerty store.

Scruffy the Cat, just called Shaws and they carry it! I had already tried the dehydrated milk section, baking section, and international section at Stop and Shop and Foodies but had no luck with either of them. I had also called whole foods, tropical market, and market basket with no success so I'm glad Shaws came through!

I have always found it at Stop & Shop or Shaw's. Are you looking with the other dehydrated milk products?
